Bluetooth

If your Bluetooth mouse isn't working, try this.

  1. Check and reset power. Check the batteries or replace them. If your mouse has a power switch, turn it off and on again.
  2. Remove (unpair) and pair again: To remove the device, select Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Choose your device in the list, select Remove Device, and then select Yes. To pair the device again, select Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Next, select Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth. Choose your device from the list and then select Pair.
  3. Check for Windows Updates. Windows 10 should update automatically, but you can check your update status by selecting Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update . Next, choose Check for Updates. If you're using an older version of Windows, press Windows + R, type Control Panel, then select OK > System and Security > Windows Update. Download and install any high-priority and customer updates, especially those related to hardware.

Wireless

If your wireless mouse isn't working, try this.

  1. Check and reset power. Check the batteries or replace them. If your mouse has a power switch, turn it off and on again.
  2. Reset connection. Unplug the USB connector and plug it back in. If this doesn't work, try another USB port.
  3. Check for Windows Updates. Windows 10 should update automatically, but you can check your update status by selecting Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update . Next, choose Check for Updates. If you're using an older version of Windows, press Windows + R, type Control Panel, then select OK > System and Security > Windows Update. Download and install any high-priority and customer updates, especially those related to hardware.
  4. Restart your device. Turn off your device and turn it on again. Retry the earlier steps after restarting.

Wired

If your wired mouse isn't working, try this.

  1. Reset connection. Unplug the USB connector and plug it back in. If this doesn't work, try another USB port.
  2. Check for Windows Updates. Windows 10 should update automatically, but you can check your update status by selecting Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update . Next, choose Check for Updates. If you're using an older version of Windows, press Windows + R, type Control Panel, then select OK > System and Security > Windows Update. Download and install any high-priority and customer updates, especially those related to hardware.
  3. Restart your device. Turn off your device and turn it on again. Retry the earlier steps after restarting.
